Privacy by Design

Tally Jar is a local-first iOS utility for tracking balances, counts, reloads, consumption, reset events, and notes. It is designed to work without a Tutelon account and without ad tracking.

Data You Create in the App

The app stores the trackers and entries you create, including tracker names, amounts, dates, times, reset events, and optional notes. This data is used to calculate your balances, counts, and history.

Local Storage and iCloud

Tally Jar stores app data on your device. The app also uses Apple's iCloud CloudKit services so your data can survive device replacement and sync across Apple devices signed in to the same Apple account when iCloud is available and enabled.

Apple operates iCloud and may process synced app data under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. Tutelon does not run a separate Tally Jar account service for normal app use.

Data Collection by Tutelon

Tutelon does not use Tally Jar to collect personal contact details, behavioral advertising profiles, or app telemetry from normal app use. The app does not include ad tracking SDKs.

Support Requests

If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device details, app version, and message. We use that information only to respond to the request and improve support.

Apple App Store and Diagnostics

Apple manages App Store downloads and may provide crash reports, diagnostics, purchase records, or aggregate analytics according to your Apple settings and Apple's policies. Tutelon uses any Apple-provided diagnostics only to improve app reliability.

Children's Privacy

Tally Jar is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to Tutelon through support, contact us and we will delete it where required.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new revision date.
