Why It Fits

Built for fast capture, not spreadsheet maintenance.

Tally Jar is for tiny repeated records that matter later: prepaid credits, missed sessions, visits, chores, classes, practice, workouts, and any number you keep re-counting in your head.

One-Tap Logging

Quick Log Buttons stay on the dashboard.

Open the app, tap a saved amount, and move on. Each tracker can have its own common buttons, such as -1, -1.5, -2, +1, or +2.

Correct Mistakes

Undo now, edit history later.

Quick logs show a brief action bar with Undo and Add Note. Older entries remain editable from history, so a rushed tap is easy to fix.

Local First

Your trackers are not a server account.

Tally Jar stores app data on your device and uses iCloud so records can survive device replacement and sync through Apple services when available.

Balance Trackers

For packages, credits, hours, and quotas.

Add or reload a starting amount, then log consumption as it happens. Tally Jar keeps the reload log, usage log, and remaining balance tied to the same tracker.

Count Trackers

For things that simply happened.

Log each occurrence without setting up a package first. When a new cycle starts, reset the current count to zero while keeping the old history intact.

+2 logged Yesterday, 6:15 PM

Daily Flow

Small records get a calmer routine.

1

Create a tracker.

Pick Balance for reusable allowance, or Count for repeated events.

2

Tap common amounts.

Use tracker-specific Quick Log Buttons directly from the home dashboard.

3

Review the trail.

Each log keeps amount, date, time, and note, with full edit and delete support.

Private by Default

No custom account just to remember your own numbers.

Tally Jar is a local-first iOS app. It does not need a Tutelon login for normal use, does not include ad tracking, and uses Apple iCloud infrastructure for CloudKit sync rather than a separate Tutelon tracker server.

FAQ

What is the difference between Balance and Count?

Balance trackers start from an allowance and subtract usage over time. Count trackers simply add occurrences and can be reset to start a new cycle.

Can I edit old entries?

Yes. Entries keep amount, date, time, and note, and they can be edited or deleted later from tracker history.

Does Tally Jar require an account?

No custom Tutelon account is required for normal app use. Data is stored locally and can use iCloud through Apple services.

What version of iOS is required?

Tally Jar is built for iOS 18 or newer, with support for iPhone and iPad.
