SystemVitals Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 16, 2026

Privacy by Design

SystemVitals is built with a zero-compromise approach to your privacy. Because our application functions purely as a local system monitor, our data practices are simple:

Data Collection

SystemVitals does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, system usage history, or telemetry. All metric polling (CPU, GPU, memory, disk, network, and battery usage) occurs exclusively in real-time on your local machine using standard macOS APIs.

Network Access

While SystemVitals measures local network interface activity (in bytes/sec) to display current speeds, it does not inspect network traffic content, nor does it make external network requests of any kind. The application is entirely self-contained.

Local Storage

The application only stores simple user preferences—such as toggled metrics, your chosen refresh rate, and rotation mode preferences—locally on your Mac using standard macOS settings (UserDefaults). These preferences are never synced off your device by us.

Changes to This Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. By continuing to use SystemVitals, you accept these terms.
